GOLF - WOMENGet to know other women in a fun, social, environment while perfecting your golf game. We play Thursdays at Michaelbrook with the first tee-time being at mid-morning. Many stay for lunch afterwards on the wonderful patio. CURLINGJoin us for our twice yearly one-day fun curling event at the Kelowna Curling Club. Whether you are an experienced curler or want to try the game for the first time, all are welcome!
| CYCLINGTake social, safe rides on the many picturesque trails here in the Okanagan, and learn more about your new surroundings, points of interest, and history. All types of bikes and good fitness levels are welcome. Be prepared with a basic repair kit and have your bike in good working order. Helmets are a must - No Exceptions. | DRAGON BOATINGLooking for exercise and a social outing? Sign up for dragon boating. The season runs May through September (21 weeks), with each team paddling for an hour once a week. Our superior paddling skills are then "reviewed" at a nearby pub. FIVE PIN BOWLINGAll skill and experience levels are welcome. We bowl on Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m., September through April, and wrap up the year with a May banquet. Play as a regular team member or a spare. We aim for balanced competition by forming new mixed teams based on previous year averages. All bowlers must register in advance, which allows the coordinator to fill vacancies on teams each week. | GOLF - MEN'SWe play Kelowna Springs, Sunset Ranch, Shannon Lake and Shadow Ridge on Wednesdays and Fridays every week, and Salmon Arm on Mondays twice monthly, usually between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Afterwards, we gather at the 19th hole for tall stories and a cool beverage. SNOWSHOEINGJoin us on the trails for some snowshoeing with your fellow KNC snowshoe members! Be prepared to spend up to 2 hours on the trails (beginner trails can typically be completed in one hour) plus your travel time to get to the trail location and back. Bring water and a snack. | WALKINGWalking is a great way to explore the country footpaths of the Kelowna area while having a good chat. Easy to moderate walks take place every Thursday morning (evening walks take place in the summer and in December). A different walk each week led by coordinators exploring trails from Lake Country to Peachland. After the 1 to 1.5 hour walks, we usually stop at a café afterwards. |
